ACCREDITATION

For media accreditation please click here.

To ensure your accreditation collection experience is as easy as possible, please familiarise yourself with the contents of this page. Accreditation must be collected between the dates and times specified below, it cannot be posted out prior to the event.

When collecting your accreditation please bring the following items with you;

  • Your Accreditation Barcode (this will be emailed to you in early April)
  • Your Photo ID containing your date of birth – Passport or Drivers Licence is preferable
  • Patience and a smile!

If you are collecting on behalf of someone else, you must bring a copy of their unique barcode, a copy of their ID and be able to take their WMG2017 backpack and inclusions. You will be asked to sign a form confirming collection.

The Accreditation Barcode
In April you will receive an email containing a unique link. This link will open a secure webpage which is responsive on any device. Within this webpage, there will be a button reading “Accreditation Collection Barcode” which once clicked, will display your unique barcode.

You have the choice of printing this page or having your barcode available on your device to be scanned on arrival at the Accreditation Centre.

Accreditation Centre Expectations

Please be aware that we anticipate our busiest collection days to be Thursday 20 April and Friday 21 April.

Facilities for adding a photo to your registration will not be available. If you’d like your photo on your pass, please ensure you upload this prior to 31 March 2017 via your WMG2017 account. Note that the photo is optional.

If you’re competing in Athletics, Cycling, Orienteering or Surf Life Saving, you will be served at a specific set of desks where you will receive your race/event bib, timing chip or event vest as well as your accreditation. Be sure to let the volunteer at the end of the queue know that you are competing in one of these sports.

Cyclists are required to also produce a copy of their Cycling License - click here to be linked to the Cycling Sports Info Guide where you can find information on how to obtain this licence within section 4.3. If you do not provide this licence, you will not be issued with your race bib and/or timing chip.

For Silver and Gold package holders who wish to change their t-shirt size after collection, a swap service will be available on 29 and 30 April at Shed 10 on Queen's Wharf. T-shirts will only be swapped if the t-shirt is unworn with the tag still attached. A limited size range will be available and size choice is not guaranteed.
