Athlete registrations for World Masters Games 2017 close 3 March 2017 (NZT). You must register by this date if you plan to compete in the Games. Note that disciplines/events will close early if they reach capacity as numbers are strictly limited.
3 March 2017 is also the date by which teams must be registered and have met their minimum athlete numbers including essential non-playing official roles. Team minimums vary by sport and information is detailed in the Sports Information Guide for each sport.
Additional team members over and above team minimums can continue to join existing teams until 31 March 2017 however a late entry fee of $50 will apply.

Proposed Age Categories
The age categories differ per competition format, see below:
Competitive: 30+, 35+, 40+
Mixed Competitive: 30+, 40+
Social: 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+
Social Competitive: 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+
The age category you will compete in for Netball will be determined as at 31 December 2017.
For team sports, the category you compete in is based on the age of the youngest team member.
For example, if your youngest team member is 39 during Games time but has turned 40 by 31 December 2017, you would compete in the 40+ age category.
Auckland Netball Centre will host all of World Masters Games 2017 Netball events. This competition venue is located just over 12km South East of Auckland Central.
