Venue

The world class Rowing facilities of Lake Karapiro will host all of World Masters Games 2017 Rowing events. Located south of Auckland in the Waipa District, Lake Karapiro is the furthest south venue of the Games. If you’re looking for low cost accommodation near the rowing venue there are single rooms and dorms available at St Peter’s School. Prices vary but are around NZD$40-$50 per person per night including linen, and meals are also available for a small additional cost. Some houses have single rooms on offer and others the full dorm – in the case when a full dorm is requested, the price remains the same irrespective of the number of beds filled. This is a great option for those wanting affordable accommodation close to the action. The children who board at the school will be on holiday and rooms are available 22-30 April. Please email hire@stpeters.school.nz to book, and ensure you include your group or individual requirements (dates, group size etc). Note that this accommodation is available on a first come first served basis.
