Athlete registrations for World Masters Games 2017 close 3 March 2017 (NZT). You must register by this date if you plan to compete in the Games. Note that disciplines/events will close early if they reach capacity as numbers are strictly limited.

The age category you will compete in for Sailing will be determined as at 31 December 2017.
For example, if you are 44 during Games time but have turned 45 by 31 December 2017, you would compete in the 45-54 age category.
Torbay Sailing Club is the sole competition venue dedicated to Sailing for World Masters Games 2017, and is located 22km north of Auckland Central.

Third party liability insurance for all entrants as required by Section 21 on the Notice of Race/Sport Information Guide can be purchased via this link for NZ$50 + GST.
If you do not already have third party insurance you can purchase it at this group discounted rate which Torbay Sailing Club have secured for competitors with PIC Marine Insurance Brokers. A certificate of insurance that meets the regatta requirements will be emailed to you on payment and should be presented at the World Masters Games 2017 Sailing registration on 20-21 April at the Torbay Sailing Club. Full accidental loss cover throughout the event is also available.
- A limited supply of Weta charter boats (prioritised for overseas entries) are available through the WMG2017 registration system (refer to “Charter Boat Information" appended to this Notice of Race).
- A limited supply of Laser charter boats (prioritised for overseas entries) are available directly from Performance Sailcraft Australia (PSA).
