It is no longer possible to create new teams in the Touch competition. You are still able to add players and non-playing officials to existing teams up until 31 March 2017 via the normal registration process.

Proposed Age Categories

Masters Men Open: 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+

Masters Men Social: 30+, 40+

Masters Women Open: 27+, 35+, 40+, 45+

Masters Women Social: 27+

Mixed Men and Women Open: 35+

Mixed Seniors Open: Women 27+, Men 30+

Mixed Seniors Social: Women 27+, Men 30+; 40+

The age category you will compete in for Touch will be determined as at 31 December 2017.

For team sports, the category is based on the age of the youngest team member.

For example, if you are 39 during Games time but have turned 40 by 31 December 2017, you would compete in the 40+ age category.


Bruce Pulman Park will host all of World Masters Games 2017 Touch events. This  competition venue is located just over 30km south of Auckland Central.
